Objective: To design the interiors and furniture for space optimization and multipurpose space character for an Informal settlement dwelling.

Outcome: Students will get exposed to living conditions, space crunch and optimal, multipurpose living areas in Informal settlements. 

Requirements: Measure tape, drafting board/laptop/model making

Prerequisites: Selection of the 2-3 households in the settlements for interior design of the space 

Procedure: 

Step 1: Measure drawing of 2-3 selected households in an informal settlement. 

Step 2: Study the current activities and usage of the space and understand the requirements from the resident

Step 3: Design the interior of the space, Multi-use and faceted furniture items, foldable-unfoldable designs for space optimization and user friendly

Step4: Present and share it as a group, to the residents.
