,Objective
To compare the psychrometric parameters of air at different conditions.
Outcome
Students will develop a deep understanding of psychrometric principles and variables in the psychrometric chart.
Requirements
Psychrometric chart
Prerequisites
- Conceptual knowledge of psychrometry
- Understanding of psychrometric chart
Procedure
Step 1: Plot the following on the psychrometric chart
- DB=25 ℃, HR = 20 g/kg.
- DB=30 ℃, HR = 20 g/kg.
Step 2: Answer the following:
- What is the RH for both? 100%, 75%.
- What is the specific volume of both air? 0.87, 0.89.
- What is the maximum moisture that both air can hold? 20,27.
- Which air is more ‘humid’? It’s the same.
