Objective

To compare the psychrometric parameters of air at different conditions.

Students will develop a deep understanding of psychrometric principles and variables in the psychrometric chart.

Prerequisites

1. Conceptual knowledge of psychrometry
2. Understanding of psychrometric chart

Procedure

Step 1: Plot the following on the psychrometric chart

1. DB=25 ℃, HR = 20 g/kg.
2. DB=30 ℃, HR = 20 g/kg.

Step 2: Answer the following:

1. What is the RH for both? 100%, 75%.
2. What is the specific volume of both air? 0.87, 0.89.
3. What is the maximum moisture that both air can hold? 20,27.
4. Which air is more ‘humid’? It’s the same.
