Prerequisites
Identify a slum or low cost housing settlement right next to an industrial park or IT park. Arrange for students to travel.
Procedure
Step 1: Students will stand on the side of the buildings having AC installations such that the students can are facing the outdoor units of Air conditioners
Step 2: Students to experience the heat released from the outdoor units of Air conditioners
Step 3: Conduct the entire RAC (Refrigeration and Airconditioning) class in these surroundings.
Step 4: Return to class and reflect on the impact of the thermal comfort of AC powered spaces on the areas around these huge AC hubs, which are largely low emission spaces such as slums.
Step 4: Invite volunteers to debate on how AC’s are responsible for Climate Injustice.
