Prerequisites

Understanding of Thermal Discomfort

Procedure

Step 1: Pose the following questions to students:

  1. Have you ever felt thermal discomfort while being inside a building? Have you experienced feeling better once you stepped outside a building?
  2. What was your last experience of ‘thermal discomfort’ like?
  3. What were the reasons for feeling thermal discomfort in those instances? Could something have been done to minimise the discomfort level in those buildings?

Step 2: Students share their experiences post reflection.

Step 3: Collectively reflect on the kind of sharings and try summarizing the findings.
