Objective: To understand the difference between thermal comfort and discomfort

Outcome: Students will share and learn the importance of thermal comfort and issues faced due to thermal discomfort


Step 1: Ask the following questions to students:

a.            Are you thermally comfortable in this room?

b.            What is Sick Building Syndrome?

c.             What are the factors that affect thermal comfort?

Step 2: Give a minute to students to think about the posed questions. 

Step 3: Students share their views on the questions for 20 minutes.  

Step 4: Note the points on the blackboard.

Step 5: Present the conclusion of the discussion.
